Open standards

Read the principles behind the product.

Aegis implements four standards published by the Terrene Foundation. The specifications are openly licensed under CC BY 4.0; Aegis is a separate commercial application.

CARE · Collaborative Autonomous Reflective Enterprise

Who sets the rules?

Separates the rules and accountability held by people from the work carried out by agents. It defines limits on spending, actions, time, data and communication.

PACT · Principled Architecture for Constrained Trust

Who is responsible?

Defines organizational roles and the authority that passes between them. Delegated limits can tighten but cannot exceed the authority that granted them.

EATP · Enterprise Agent Trust Protocol

Who authorized the action?

Defines verifiable records that trace an agent’s authority back to its source, including delegation and revocation.

CO · Cognitive Orchestration

How is knowledge carried into the work?

Describes a method for coordinating AI work and preserving instructions and organizational knowledge across tasks.

Standards and software

Open specifications. A commercial implementation.

The Foundation owns the standards. Aegis does not claim ownership of them. Public specifications let reviewers inspect the underlying approach; they do not certify a deployment or guarantee effortless migration.
